Too often in today's society, our representation and stereotypes of physical and mental disabilities are still causing many students to underperform and to have a low self-esteem at school. Because we believe this should not be so, our project has been developed to fight prejudices and improve communication between disabled students and their peers. The project will first and foremost allow all students to share their experiences about handicap, to create new bonds at school and outside, to nurture empathy and to learn from one other. By placing students in different situations of communication and partnerships at both local and European levels, our project will give the opportunity to everyone involved to develop new strategies in order to facilitate the integration of disabled students. Thus, the project will not only have an influence on the participants but also on their families, who will be fully integrated in some activities, and at a different level on associations which provide help and assistance to disabled people.Certain tasks of the project like the workshops and different experiments will not only be used during the project as a basis to introduce the problem to the students in all our partner schools but will also be introduced later to students from other local schools and / or to interested organizations in order to raise awareness on the issue at a greater scale. All the results will be made available for all the schools in each participating country in the local, regional and national level.

"The project was created on the basis of existing contacts between the schools (Denmark, Greece). There was already a trusting cooperation in European projects. The exchange led to the awareness that, despite their differences, the schools encountered a similar problem: health education and care on a physical and emotional level is the basis for cooperation and school success. Pupils, parents, teachers are faced with the challenge of creating a holistic health awareness for school success, happy living and participation in European society. Each school is already pursuing approaches (nutrition, sports, prevention, student projects) to meet this. However, all seek an increase of effectivity and an expansion of existing programs. Diversity of schools is the key resource used for the innovative design and development of schools. The new partner schools from Lithuania, Northern Macedonia and Slovenia, which were specifically searched for via the eTwinning portal, also formulated the problem of lacking health awareness and offer solutions for that. The six participating schools are secondary schools with the same age structure (11 to 18 years). All have a coordinating “Europe-team”, counselling services with social workers and offer their students catering or sports activities. Project participants from all social classes attend special courses (elective courses, working groups, Europe courses) in which they are networked across the borders of their own school using eTwinning. Thirty students attend each of these courses, which are open to all students in the school community. At “AULs” there are 2 teachers and 4 students who actively participate, thereby creating new experiences. ""Together for a healthy life in Europe - We make students strong!"" describes what is the project goal: Through comprehensive and holistic health awareness, we sustainably promote well-being and resilience of students for a conscious, contented and self-designed adult life in Europe. Self-efficacy and personal resources are demonstrated at the pupil- and teacher-level and used to enhance health awareness and the personal role in the school system, actively shaped by students in a health-promoting way. Well-being is thereby a pillar of school success, in exchange, active design of the school environment by pupils and teachers experiences innovation and more space, the participation of each school at the topic “Europe” is consciously experienced (in particular by young people, who otherwise do not have access to this field of experience). Increasing the health-conscious participation in school life on the one hand inspires the educational performance of the individual and on the other hand offers concrete incentives for a sustainable life concept in Europe. The activities of the project can be found on four levels: teacher training (exchange of concepts / workshops), short-term exchanges for student groups (workshop design, school presentation, consolidation of results / implementation), information of parents (events, parenting) and Europe (exploration of twin cities as active Europeans, joint campaign ""We make students strong!"").In choosing the methodology, all levels and social classes are taken into consideration by setting experience as the starting point of work. The project follows the structure and implementation of the Think-Pair-Share-Principle: 1) At home, inventing solutions in the project 2) during the AULs discuss, share, prepare for distribution 3) spread innovative ideas at home. This principle can be found in the AULs, too. Watching the school, participating in workshops, experiencing Europe - these are the basics for activating, integrating, developing, spreading, implementing the examples of good work. The project is bilingual. Concepts are exchanged in English and translated into the mother tongue. In each case the result is the template for innovation and implementation of the solution approaches for use / multiplication in one's own system as concept template, mind map, PowerPoint, experience documentation (quikfilm, posters, ...). All results and reports are presented in the online portfolio on eTwinning and the school homepage. Surveys, statistics, flyers, posters and spread presentations will be produced for the ongoing campaign ""We make students strong!"". In this way we work ""Together for a healthy life in Europe"", by exchanging good examples of our work in the schools, facing the challenge of healthy living together, shaping our schools for the future and making our students fit for a successful, independent life through active experience and contribution as an active European citizen."

Taking into account our conditions, location and previously mentioned difficulties and social risks we would like to implement the new, innovative for most of schools synergy. In every school we will expand our ICT knowledge using new tools to create final products or communicate to each other. For instance we are going to create multimedia presentation with Emaze, Prezi, films, a kind of electronical books, lexicon, logo using new technology and specific sites with modern tools which haven’t been used yet in our schools. The next component will be environmental education from visits in our local woods, national parks, companies connected with carpentry, forestry or yachts building to practical way of education like planting trees. Researches, documentation ( photos, films, recordings, juxtapositions) will be presented in different forms – in electronic and traditional way. The last point of our synergy will be connected with social exclusion and the risk of leaving school early. We will organize lessons devoted career counselling. There will be meetings with people who occupy this topic and workers in national parks, shipyards, carpentry companies, foresters an work markets promoting the jobs in the nearest area. We would like to show young people possibilities of workplaces in their own areas, the ways of education in secondary schools and universities. Better learning and teaching are the main objectives of this project. Every activities planned will be a part of the curricula disciplines and teaching but with a different and original point of view and new perspectives. We can assert that all activities planned during the different mobilities are designed as learning activities in themselves and the results will be achieved:Ice breaking activities – we are going to make multimedia presentations and films about schools , regions and countries, show traditions during whole year connected with fests . Students and teachers will use Skype , Twinspace or chats to lead video-conferences; multilingual vocabulary with names of plants will be created , labels with QR codes consisting of names of plants. After visiting local companies using wood as a raw material : discovering careers, economic elements, management of a companies -the reports will be presented on school and eTwinning sites. Teachers will organize meetings with forresters ( as a possible job in the nearest area). Woods and forests as a source and the resource of life- National Park and Natural Reservation visits, Nature museums. These educational/recreational activities of the forest heritage will mainly take place during the mobilities - reports illustrated with photos or videos will be published online in order to share with the others still at home. The International Day of Forests will be devoted to outdoor activities for students e.g. trees planting, taking photos etc. Photo and art competitions with the exhibitions as a result will be motivating isse for weaker students to show their strong capabilities. Final questionnaire for all participants (management of the schools, teachers, pupils, parents, local. Writing reports about the different and publishing them on the Internet : developing language and ITC skills.Sharing the life of a family inthe foreign country will favour mind openness, cultural discoveries and develop language & communication skills. Teachers as well as students will also discover new ways to live at school, different kinds of relationships between pupils and adults and other teaching methods.
