The project aims to address land degradation recovery from a multi-point of view, leveraging cooperation, experience-sharing and skills transfer as core approaches among several EU partners countries with important agricultural potential. The project target is to contribute towards reaching the 15th Sustainable Development Goal of United Nations in the partner countries. This will be achieved by intensifying innovative international, inter-sectoral and interdisciplinary collaboration in research and innovation that is already in place between partners through staff exchanges and sharing knowledge and ideas at all stages of the innovation chain. HumResLand (Human Resilient Networks towards Halting and Reversing Land Degradation for Ensuring Food Security) is a project based on previous collaborations between some of the partners and aims to contribute to excellent research and to foster border-crossing and transdisciplinary research cooperation, helping to shape a culture of research and innovation that facilitates the transformation of ideas into novel services and processes. It will involve research, technical, administrative and managerial staff supporting R&I activities. The key of the project lies in the transfer of knowledge on halting and reversing land degradation by validating and disseminating information among all partners and towards beneficiaries. The network we will create shall aim to develop a deep understanding of the way land degradation can be assessed, modelled, and integrated in the framework of sustainable management scenarios, strategies and policies. These will rely on fostering international human resource links as resiliency method against food security threats posed by land degradation. Even if some land studies have been done so far, the importance and complexity of the problem of degraded land requires a multilateral study, which simultaneously includes multidisciplinary approaches provided by specialists.

The Ideal-ist project will give all NCPs with responsibility for the digital destinations in Horizon Europe Cluster 4 (3, 4 and 6) access to the knowledge, tools, and experiences they need to ensure top quality services to their clients. In turn, these services can result in inventive, catalytic European projects. Over 30 NCP teams will pursue this ideal working together and operating across national boundaries, resulting in stronger services exceeding the capacity of a single organisation in a purely national context. Ideal-ist has clear objectives to meet this goal: O1: Access to a rich knowledge base on the digital landscape of opportunities. O2: Offerings that improve and expand their working tools and services. O3: Interaction among proposers, NCPs, the Commission and strategic partnerships on a personal level that enhances expertise and participation. The objectives translate to four sets of activities: 1. Manage, share and maintain Ideal-ist's knowledge base during and beyond the adjustment to Horizon Europe, according to the FAIR principles and in cooperation with Bridge2HorizonEurope. 2. Strengthen the sense of community and teamwork among digital NCPs and other Cluster 4 NCPs. 3. Offer services specifically designed for digital NCPs and try their application in the other areas of Cluster 4 4. Offer proposer-oriented services, focusing on the digital parts of Cluster 4, and try their application in the other areas of Cluster 4. Activities will be monitored using an agile methodology via an Activity Execution Dashboard (AED), allowing the project to deliver activities and tasks, identify deviations and propose corrective actions, measure progress towards success and quantify impact to achieve the high-level objectives. Ideal-ist will enrich the designated activities of NCPs with transnational activities going beyond national mandates, contributing to enhanced natural cooperation, leveraging the services and creating economies of scale.

The Idealist2027 vision is to supply the National Contact Points (NCPs) responsible for digital destinations in Horizon Europe with the tools, knowledge and expertise they need to better serve the digital research community applying for funding from Horizon Europe. Through transnational collaboration, synergies with other digital programs and other cluster 4 NCPs networks, and special network activities Idealist2027 will enhance NCP capacities to facilitate stronger, more impactful European projects. The project focuses on four key objectives: 1.Bringing NCPs to a common understanding of the EU digital landscape, future digital trends, policies, and funding opportunities. 2.Lowering barriers for newcomers, particularly SMEs and widening countries, ensuring broader engagement in digital initiatives and creating better impact on the digital landscape. 3.Connecting digital communities to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing among stakeholders. 4.Integrating the components of Cluster 4 to benefit NCPs, applicants, and stakeholders through synergies across Digital, Industry, and Space. Idealist2027 introduces new services, such as the Horizon Intelligence task, which will analyze Evaluation Summary Reports (ESRs) to provide data-driven insights to NCPs, enabling them to better guide proposers, and will continue to offer very successful services such as Idea check and proposal check. By building on the experience of previous Ideal-ist projects and fostering cooperation within Cluster 4, Idealist2027 will create a more cohesive and supportive environment for NCPs and their stakeholders. The project will ensure compliance with the FAIR principles for data management and will collaborate closely with other Cluster 4 NCP projects. Idealist2027 aims to strengthen the European digital research community, paving the way for successful participation in Horizon Europe and the next Framework Programme.
