#EUDefenders was created with the aim of promoting, positioning and preserving the European cultural heritage of the four participating countries in times of Covid-19, through digital storytelling and media literacy in the youth and cultural sectors. The beneficiaries will be:1. Personnel / staff of the six partners that make up this project (belonging to the youth, educational, business, cultural and creative sectors).2. Personnel / staff of micro-enterprises, non-profit organizations and autonomous professionals of the cultural / creative sector (either in production and / or services).3. Youth workers interested in learning how to use digital instruments and non-formal learning in cultural education.4. Young people with low digital skills (especially with fewer opportunities / in vulnerable situations) from the partners themselves, from local organizations and non-associated youth.Based on the above, the secondary objectives are:1. Research, recognize and celebrate the cultural heritage of the participating localities, so that the recipients understand the diversity of European cultural heritage and their shared responsibility to preserve it.2. Design training modules and virtual learning tools so that: (i) youth / cultural organizations know how to promote their cultural products in virtual environments; (ii) youth workers know how to promote the EU's cultural heritage among youth; and (iii) young people acquire skills in digital storytelling and media literacy linked to the cultural heritage of their localities3. Create safe spaces for youth (with and without fewer opportunities) to reflect on their own life history linked to cultural heritage and their membership of the EU.4. Foster a creative and innovative mentality that, together with the previous points, allows recipients to create, manage, disseminate and consume creative and cultural products in times of Covid-19.The needs of the project have been detected in the four participating countries. It is essential to understand the impact, evolution and current situation of the youth and cultural sectors caused by Covid-19. In this sense, it is complicated if you do not work across the board, since the reality of other member states is what will help us understand what is happening in each of our territories. This is the main reason that makes this project have to be carried out transnationally so that the objectives set out with its development are satisfactorily fulfilled, and that the findings obtained can be replicated and scalable throughout the EU.
