The proposal is aimed at development of competency-based curricula for continuous comprehensive training of specialists in the field of climate services in Ukraine, as well as the initiation and development of additional education in climate change for decision-makers, experts in climate-dependent economic sectors and the general public, which contribute to stabilization of the national economy in the face of climate change and its adaptation to the upcoming climate change.We will develop competency-based concepts on professional education in the field of climate services and additional education for experts in climate-dependent economic sectors, with regard to existing European experience in this field; teaching and methodological materials, distance and blended learning courses in order to form methodological support for the continuous and comprehensive training of specialists in the field of climate services; blended learning courses in the field of climate change and adaptation to it for decision-makers, as well as massive open online courses in the same area for experts in climate-dependent economic sectors; massive open online courses in the field of climate change and adaptation to it for the broad masses of the population. In order to reach the largest possible audience, ensure ongoing knowledge exchange and initiate new academic opportunities, a virtual research and education platform with a branched system of distance learning courses covering all training cycles and target groups, and the tools for conducting research in the field of climatology and climate change will be organized.Thus, this project proposal completely solves the issues on organization of climate education, which Ukraine is facing, and will contribute, due to the building-up of infrastructure capacity and human resources, to establishment and development of climate services in Ukraine, that, in turn, will contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals.

The project is foreseen for 36 months. Its activities are aimed to creation of specialized courses dedicated to laboratory practice for specialists of agro-food sector. Four specialized courses will be created at faculties: veterinary medicine, agronomy, animal husbandry and food technologies. One transversal course will be developed as well. The courses will be also developed for the post-diploma training.Project activities iclude: Consultations, round tables for definition of needed competences.; Elaboration of references for specialization “laboratory practice” in collaboration between HEIs and laboratories.; Elaboration of curricular and training plans: Elaboration of special courses for post-diploma courses; Students mobility among partner and programme institution. For this teachers teams will be created. Universities teachers and laboratory specialists will be members of these teams; their training will be done through six training sessions in EU and in partner countries; Pilot courses will be launched; At every faculty the group specialized on laboratory practice will be create -Creation of pedagogic support: guides, manuals, films, e-learning. The MOODLE platform for distance learning will be used for launching distances courses. The organizational innovation hub Lab TECH for coordination of innovative academic and post-diploma training will be created. The tools for collaborative teaching between universities and laboratories will be implemented.

Aim of the project: Development of the potential of universities as an integral part of agro-industrial clusters by the creation of expertise centres as pre-conditions for the development and successful functioning of agro-industrial clusters.These objectives will be achieved through the following activities:- Organization of workshops, consultations, round-tables in order to present the concept of clusters and to share ideas concerning creation of expertise centers supposed to be transformed into the cluster;- Training of HEIs and enterprises staff by workshops and study tours;- Development of legal framework for expertise centres creation: Statutes of expertise centers, post cards, work regulations. Amendments will be done in development strategies of participating HEIs and enterprises;- Creation expertise centers on following areas: water management and aquaculture, new technologies (IT) in machinery, rural tourism, milk production and processing with the focus on traditional local products, biotechnologies in poultry farming;- Development and launching of new modules for Master and PhD students as added value;- Launching of pilot projects: the projects will be defined according to enterprises needs and universities possibilities for scientific elaborations and their application on practice;- The students’ mobility will be organized in two ways from partner countries to EU and from EU to partner countries;- In addition to traditional dissemination activities the project foresees the information and promotion campaign among stakeholder to disseminate the EU experience of clusters activity.Expected impacts:creation of sustainale relations between HEIs and enterprises based on win-win pronciples, enhancing of practical value of researches; creation of conditions for better integration of innovations into production on the sustainability principles; development of entrepreneurial capacities of HEIs, contribution to the development of local area.
