The interdisciplinary WrightBros neXt project is designed as an extension, both in terms of the scope and the Consortium composition, of the “collaborative factory of the flight simulators branch of RISE” which was funded under H2020 programme and successfully completed as a WrightBroS project. Based on its results, the new concept of research on projectors-free flight simulators is proposed as an answer to challenges which occur when novel eXtended Reality (XR) technologies are applied to professional training of pilots. The goal of the new project is to: - develop innovative, projectors-free, flight simulators by using various XR technologies, and - compare the influence on human perception of various XR technologies used in these projectors-free flight simulators vs. classical setup with projector-generated scenery. The wide range of visualization setups developed in a collaboration between the Coordinator: Silesian University of Technology (SUT), Poland, flight simulators manufacturer: Virtual Reality Media (VRM), Slovakia, and software developer: LG Nexera (NXR), Austria, will be then tested by pilots during experimental sessions in Virtual Flight Laboratory at SUT. In such sessions the pilots will wear mobile EEG device capturing data about the influence of a given display system used in the flight simulator on a cognitive load and other brain activities. The assessment of the cognitive load, as a measure of the mental effort required to complete a task, will be made by SUT scientists in an interdisciplinary collaboration with the researchers from Psychology Department of University of Zadar (UOZ), Croatia. The EEG signals will be also analyzed by secondees from Dnipro University of Technology (DUT), Ukraine, hosted by SUT specialists experienced in signal processing and machine learning. The results will be used to predict real-time performance, fatigue, and stress levels of pilots testing particular XR visualization system used in the flight simulator.

The project is designed as a platform for collaboration of academia (Silesian University of Technology in Poland), research (Austrian Institute of Technology and Security Business Austria) and industry (Boson Energy from Luxemburg, LG Nexera from Vienna, and Envelo from Warsaw) in a common purpose to achieve beyond state-of-the-art progress in applications of quantum optics phenomena for quantum communication and computation, in particular for quantum image processing and security. The deployment potential of these latter applications will be exploited by Boson Energy in green energy sector and by Envelo in digital secure communication, respectively. Through common implementation of an ambitious research programme, the project will generate novel skills for all consortium participants. Interdisciplinary and intersectoral staff training will serve as a basis for technology transfer and knowledge sharing between participants leading to elaboration and implementation of desired solutions. In this way, the project will strengthen collaboration between Beneficiaries in quantum computing and communication (QCC) and in optical image processing (OIP). In particular, the Consortium will focus on technology of entangled photons production and its application to Qbit building, quantum security, quantum block-chain technology and quantum communication. To facilitate contact with quantum optics, an Augmented Reality aided simulator & designer of optical quantum setups will be also developed. Particular attention will be paid to wide and efficient dissemination and communication. Due to these measures, OptiQ project will strengthen career perspectives of participating scientists, become the foundation for lasting collaborations in exploitation of results, and increase competitiveness of European Research Area and industry on the world’s QCC scene.

</script><< Objectives >>EdUp aims to implement concrete digital course demands and curricula upscale opportunities for Ukrainian HES. While we were able to realize access to digital content and providing existing courses for UA HEI in our previous SUUUpoRT project, we are overwhelmed by a far greater number of registered students than predicted on our learning platform, to whom we want to provide an quality offer. Already identified needs will be adressed and cooperation will be facilitated in a new twinning process.<< Implementation >>Within the EdUp project we will implement the following activities:•Needs prioritization•Content creation of most demanded digital course topics•Capacity building of course content creation for UA partners•Upscaling and adapting of courses according to UA needs•Twinning of teacher peers to facilitate course output and cooperation•Offering a high-quality selection of specialization courses and digital student mobility•Needs driven student mentoring and support•Feedback and Q&A<< Results >>With EdUp we aim for an upscaled continuation of important support activities that allow Ukrainian HEIs to upkeep their local study programmes by incorporating digital courses from partners and integrating them into their teachings. We offer new courses together with UA partners that cover already identified needs and increase the opportunities for UA partners to create digital courses. Furthermore, we expect that the formed teacher tandems cooperate together on courses, research and projects.

</script>Data confirms that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has caused $ 137.8 billion in damage to Ukraine’s infrastructure, with 4.8 million people officially registered as internally displaced persons in Ukraine. When such significant infrastructure and human losses occur, there is a need to reorient education to the real-world context through the application of pedagogical approaches and the implementation of study courses focused on addressing local needs on-site.The ServU project aims to enhance synergy between Ukrainian higher education institutions (HEIs) and local territorial communities to jointly contribute to the recovery of Ukraine through the implementation of Service-learning education. The project proposes an innovative approach to stimulate the acquisition and development of citizenship competencies among students, taking into consideration the needs of three types of local territorial communities, that have been affected by the war: 1) territories with a large number of internally displaced people, 2) liberated territories, and 3) territories in close proximity to the front lines, whose infrastructure has been significantly damaged.Five specific objectives have been defined:•Adapt the Service-learning (SL) methodology for wartime and recovery.•Remodel the Community Needs Assessment (CNA) for wartime and recovery, taking into account three types of local territorial communities affected by the war.•Develop active citizenship competencies through the teaching of Service-learning courses.•Activate collaboration between European Union, Ukrainian HEIs, and local territorial communities in their efforts for the recovery of Ukraine through the implementation of Service-learning courses.•Create a Ukrainian Service-learning Resource Platform for knowledge sharing, transfer of best Service-learning practices, and networking.

</script>The “4Ps for Youth: Public, Popular, Progressive and Productive” project was built on the methodology of non – formal education taking into account the needs and motivations of the consortium members as the starting point of the programme. This project was designed as an open learning process based on active and collaborative learning, on sharing experience and ideas, on implementing the gained knowledge in practice and on involving all participants in decision making based on consent to achieve the best results. This Project aim was to bring together young people from different partner organizations for the promotion of their aims and achievements and empowering them with the skills of Public Relations and Communication in youth work to recognize that they can be active agents of change, to build constructive relations with their partners and target audience; to make their organisations and daily work public, popular, progressive and productive. The entire project had 4 activity stages: we met in Italy for a contact-making and preparatory meeting, where we had an opportunity to discuss the issues we have, the expectations we have from the project, and design the upcoming stages of the project. The next stage was a training course in Germany. Members of the participating organisations were trained on the communications and public relations topic, gained new skills, discussed with the experts the issues they face in their countries. At the end of the TC, all the organisations had a draft plan for local awareness-raising campaigns. During the TC several visits to Communications museum and organisations were implemented as well. After the TC, it was the time to implement the draft plans in practice. The organisations had to evaluate their work, find out the objectives and goals and promote their work and organisations. For that each and every organisation designed their own information and awareness-raising campaigns. Only the promotion of the project was with the same style. The final activity stage was the evaluation meeting in Armenia, to evaluate all the stages of the project, to find out the outcomes, and to think about future steps. The objectives of the project were:A) To strengthen awareness and understanding of the significant role of Public relations and communication. B) To increase participants’ knowledge in the field of media related to the process of constructing reality and develop a more critical and selective approach towards media, social media among representatives of youth organizations; C) To improve knowledge of participants how to work successfully with media and how to promote NGOs and the “Erasmus +” programme;D) To enhance participants’ knowledge of the Erasmus+ Programme and its Key Actions and to encourage the development of new project ideas and initiatives under this Programme.E) To inform participants on how to produce press releases that are used and how to prepare successful press conferences.F) To equip participants with the different types of communication tools; introduce them to the diverse types of media and its specific requirements (e.g. how journalists work and what they need).G) To strengthen participants’ competences as youth workers/leaders to use media tools at their professional work and acknowledge the ways media and digital tools can be used for addressing diverse societal issues more effectively;H) To provide participants an opportunity to share good practices, as well to reflect on common challenges in the field of community and youth work and strengthen the existing networks, including obtaining new contacts for further cooperation in the youth field;I) To give participants an opportunity to realize the gained knowledge and developed tools/techniques in their communities;J) To create Manual and online animated book with concrete instructions and working methods for practical implementation for everyday work.
