<< Objectives >>IMMERSE will equip future decision-makers in Europe's raw materials sector with the skills necessary to transform the sector and its supply chain towards sustainability while maintaining global competitiveness. The project aims to bring value at EU level by building capacity for cross-border cooperation and networking in universities and create an innovative educational landscape through digital, immersive teaching practices.<< Implementation >>IMMERSE will create and implement a series of didactical coherent interactive VE to geological deposits and mine sites of CRM, accessible 24/7 via the web and low-tech hardware (e.g. smartphones). These VE will equip geoscience and mining students with knowledge to support the European Green Deal and European CRM act. The VE will be didactic, interactive, and available for guided and self-paced learning, with micro-learning for the general public.<< Results >>IMMERSE will establish VE to improve teaching in the critical raw materials sector, promoting interdisciplinary knowledge transfer and providing flexible, time and cost-saving concepts. Students can access the VE at any time, enhancing practical and theoretical skills while ensuring inclusivity for all learners. The use of English will make teaching materials internationally accessible to a wider audience.
