Today design is becoming a tool of war. Projecting a small section of life or information space, a designer himself is not actually fully realizing that he makes a global impact. He spreads the form, in which human consciousness consumes both industrial and informational product. The armed war launched by the Russian Federation against Ukraine has not yet begun and was prepared in a way that does not directly bring death and destruction. It was prepared by creating a "parallel reality" primarily in people’ consciousness through achievements in the field of design with a combination of high technologies including web design, virtual and augmented reality, collage and photomontage. Even those elementary visual formulas that were given by the Bauhaus or the avant-garde, minimalism and deconstructivism were used with the opposite effect and primarily for the manipulation of human consciousness. Дизайн сьогодні стає інструментом війни. Проєктуючи невеличку ділянку жит­тєвого чи інформаційного простору, дизайнер, сам того не усвідомлюючи, насправ­ді чинить глобальний вплив. Він поширює форму, у якій людська свідомість спожи­ває як промисловий, так й інформаційний продукт. Розв’язана рф збройна війна проти України не почалась, поки не була підготовлена у спосіб, що безпосередньо не несе смерті і руйнувань. Вона готувалась створенням «паралельної реальності» насамперед у свідомості людей через досягнення у галузі дизайну з поєднанням високих технологій включно з веб-дизайном, віртуальною і доповненою реаль­ністю, колажуванням і фотомонтажем. Навіть ті елементарні візуальні формули, які були дані Баугаузом чи авангардом, мінімалізмом і деконструктивізмом, вико­ристовувались із зворотним ефектом – для маніпуляції людською свідомістю.

The issue of understanding of one's cultural roots to form unique innovations has been discussed in the scientific literature since the beginning of the 21st century. In Ukraine, this movement has been going on for more than 15 years. There have been a large number of scientific conferences on different aspects of the topic of “ethnodesign”, scientific findings have been published, and dissertations have been presented. The term “ethnodesign” has firmly entered the scientific circulation, although there are ongoing discussions on the subject and object of research in this area, and, in fact, differences in understanding of what is ethnodesign as such. Проблема осмислення своїх культурних коренів задля формування унікальних інновацій порушується в науковій літературі з початку ХХІ ст. В Україні цей рух триває вже понад 15 років. Відбувається численна кількість наукових конференцій з того чи іншого аспекту теми «етнодизайн», друкуються наукові дослідження, захищаються дисертації. Термін «етнодизайн» твердо увійшов у науковий обіг, хоча й досі не припиняються дискусії щодо предмету та об’єкту досліджень у цій галузі, та, власне, існують розбіжності і у розумінні того, що є етнодизайн як такий.

The purpose of the study is to identify the features of the use of postmodern techniques in poster projects of the period of the COVID-19 pandemic. Research methods. The methodological basis of the study is comparative and art analysis. The scientific novelty of the study is the consideration of the poster activity of the pandemic period 2020-2021 in the context of postmodernism. Conclusions. In the current poster projects of the quarantine period, postmodern features are clearly traced, which are manifested not only in the visual language of the works, but also in the ways of exhibiting and positioning posters in society and the media. The pictorial component is characterized by the use of metaphor as a universal method, as well as a combination of different styles, multiple approaches, the lack of a dominant vector in solving the visual image. The use of double coding, quotes, reminiscences, games, irony, etc. is revealed. Мета дослідження – виявити особливості застосування постмодерних прийомів у плакатних проєктах періоду пандемії Сovid-19. Методи дослідження. Методологічну основу дослідження складають порівняльний та мистецтвознавчий аналіз. Наукову новизну дослідження становить розгляд плакатної діяльності періоду пандемії 2020–2021 рр. у контексті постмодернізму. Висновки. У поточних плакатних проєктах карантинного періоду чітко прослідковуються постмодерні риси, які виявляються не тільки у візуальній мові творів, а й у способах експонування та позиціонування плакатів у соціумі і медійній сфері. Для зображувальної складової характерне використання метафори як універсального методу, а також поєднання різних стилістик, множинність підходів, відсутність панівного вектору у вирішенні візуального образу. Виявлено застосування подвійного кодування, цитат, ремінісценцій, гри, іронії тощо.

The purpose of the article. The article explains the ways to find harmony in modern clothing design projects. The research methodology consists of the analysis application in the field of fashion, as well as methods of source, aesthetic and structural-compositional analysis. The scientific novelty of the work lies in determining and systematizing the main ways of searching for harmony in clothing design 2010-2020. Conclusions. Design forms and expression, its orientation change not only due to a technology change but primarily due to changes in social demands, value systems, mental guidelines, of which the search for harmony is also important – external and internal. Designers solve this aspect in various ways: from formalized proportioning and the color wheel usage to the use of natural motifs and folk art archetypes. Another way is “green”, ecological, “ethical”, “sustainable” fashion – directions that not only demonstrate the possibilities of processing but also generate a particular worldview, draw attention to the artist’s ability to return people to the beauty and diversity of the world. Мета статті. В статті з’ясовуються шляхи пошуку гармонії в сучасних проєктах дизайну одягу. Методологія дослідження полягає у застосуванні аналізу в галузі моди, а також методів джерелознавчого, естетичного та структурно-композиційного аналізу. Наукова новизна роботи полягає у визначенні та систематизації основних шляхів пошуку гармонії в дизайні одягу 2010–2020 рр. Висновки. Форми та вираження дизайну, його орієнтація змінюються не тільки через зміну технологій, а передусім через зміну соціальних запитів, систем цінностей, ментальних орієнтирів, важливим з яких є й пошук гармонії – зовнішньої і внутрішньої. Дизайнери розв’язують цей аспект різними шляхами: від формалізованого пропорціювання та використання колірного кола до використання природних мотивів та архетипів народної творчості. Інший шлях – це «зелена», екологічна, «етична», «стійка» мода, – напрямки, які не тільки демонструють можливості переробки, а й породжують певний світогляд, привертають увагу до здатності художника повернути людей до краси і багатогранності навколишнього світу.

The aim of the research is to systematize and define the scenic costume in the context of contemporary artistic practices. The methodology of the research. In order to accomplish the following tasks the methods of systematization, classification and the complex art analyses were implemented. The scientific novelty. It is mentioned the position of the contemporary scenic costume at contemporary art practice: the theater, cinema, ballet, circurse art, sport sphere and advertising companies and other modern performances, happening and carnavals.The classification of the scenic costume variety is performed. It is fulfilled the classification of the scenic costume taking into consideration the artistic characteristics. Conclusions. As a result of the modern scenic arts analysis, it is defined the versatility and complexity of the scenic costume as a different type of design activity. It is determined that the scenic costume enters into different types of artistic practices and requires detailed artistic analysis in the context of design. Мета дослідження. Визначити та окреслити місце сценічного костюма в сучасних мистецьких практиках і провести систематизацію різновидів сценічного костюма. Методологія дослідження. З метою виконання поставлених завдань у ході дослідження було використано методи систематизації, класифікації та комплексного мистецтвознавчого аналізу. Наукова новизна. Означено місце сучасного сценічного костюма в сучасних мистецьких практиках: театрі, кіно, балеті, естрадно-цирковому мистецтві, спорті, рекламних кампаніях та інших сучасних видовищах, таких як перфоманс, хеппенінг, карнавал. Проведено систематизацію різновидів сценічного костюма за призначенням. Здійснено класифікацію сценічного костюма за образотворчими характеристиками. Висновки. У результаті аналізу сучасних сценічних видів мистецтв виявлено багатогранність та складність сценічного костюма як окремого виду дизайнерської діяльності. Визначено, що сценічний костюм проникає в різні види мистецьких практик і потребує детального мистецтвознавчого аналізу в контексті дизайну.

Мета дослідження. Виявити особливості функціонування традиційного кримськотатарського орнаменту Орьнек у сучасних культурі, мистецтві та дизайні. Методологія дослідження базується на застосування мистецтвознавчого, компаративного, феноменологічного та елементів семіотичного аналізу. Новизна дослідження полягає у виявленні способу функціонування кримськотатрського орнаменту в сучасності, визначенні особливих символічних і графічних структур у візуальній системі Орьнек, які дозволяють не лише розвиватись у сучасній культурі кримців, але й виявляють високу комунікативну спроможність до встановлення міжкультурного діалогу. Висновки. Дослідження кримськотатарського орнаменту в сучасному мистецтві та дизайні засвідчує його високу спроможність адаптуватися до нових умов, що дозволяє говорити про гнучкість його візуальної системи. В сучасних мистецьких і дизайнерських проєктах він постає явищем, що здатне абстрагуватися від архаїчних форм і органічно поєднуватись не лише з новітніми матеріалами й техніками, але й створювати єдність з феноменами інших національних культур. The purpose of the research is to identify the functioning features of Ornek, a traditional Crimean Tatar ornament in modern culture, art and design. The research methodology is based on the application of art history, comparative and semiotic analysis. The novelty of the research is to identify the functioning of the Crimean Tatar ornament in modern times, to determine special symbolic and graphic structures in the visual system Ornek, which allow not only to develop in modern Crimean culture but also show the high communicative ability to establish a cross-cultural dialogue. Conclusions. The study of Crimean Tatar ornament in modern art and design testifies to its high ability to adapt to new conditions, which allows us to talk about the flexibility of its visual system. In modern art and design projects, it appears as a phenomenon that can abstract from archaic forms and organically combine not only with the latest materials and techniques but also to create unity with the phenomena of other national cultures.

The purpose of the article is to study the educational function of modern design by analyzing the objects of the urban environment in Ukraine and the world. The research methodology involves the use of observation methods and art analysis; the educational function of project activities is traced in historical and modern images gotten by collecting. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the reflection on the modern designer’s role in the formation of humanistic values in society; attention is drawn to the necessity of rethinking the surrounding space, which can be achieved using design. Conclusions. Modern designers combine a variety of functional requests and compositional artistic solutions, trying to surprise the average consumer. But sometimes you just need to create something that meets the humanistic demands – an environment filled with comfort and natural motives. In this way, project activities gain the opportunity to perform an educational function in society through the cultivation of true human values, through the reconciliation of different social groups in cities, different national cultures, aggressive urban environment and a man. Метою статті є дослідження виховної функції сучасного дизайну за допомогою аналізу об’єктів міського середовища в Україні і світі. Методологія дослідження передбачає застосування методів спостереження і мистецтвознавчого аналізу; виховна функція проєктної діяльності відслідковується в історичних та сучасних зображеннях, зібраних шляхом колекціонування. Наукова новизна дослідження полягає у рефлексії щодо ролі сучасного дизайнера у формуванні гуманістичних цінностей у суспільстві; звертається увага на потребу переосмислення довколишнього простору, що може бути досягнуто засобом дизайну. Висновки. Сучасні дизайнери поєднують різноманітні функціональні запити та композиційні мистецькі рішення, прагнучи здивувати пересічного споживача. Та часом варто просто створити те, що відповідає гуманістичним запитам: середовище, наповнене затишком і природними мотивами. У такий спосіб проєктна діяльність здобуває можливості виконувати виховну функцію у суспільстві за допомогою культивування справжніх людських цінностей, через примирення різних соціальних груп у містах, різних національних культур, агресивного міського середовища і людини.

The purpose of the article is to study the preconditions of origin and features of further development of the design of hotel and restaurant business. The research methodology is based on the methods of complex analysis with the use of historical-survey and practical-analytical methods. The essence of scientific novelty is to identify the main approaches in the design of hotel and restaurant business. The essence of scientific novelty is substantiation of transformations in understanding the essence and significance of design in the formation of the development concept of hotel and restaurant complexes as well. Conclusions. The study shows that during the long period of formation and development of hotel and restaurant business there have been significant changes in their design. Each of the stages of development of hotel and restaurant objects is characterized by the understanding transformation of the concept of “design” and the degree of application of its tools both in the decoration of premises and in its use in the formation of the concept and corporate style of the company. The systematic approach in the design of hotel and restaurant business does provide the formation of competitive advantages and is one of the main components of effective organization and conduct of hotel and restaurant activities. Мета статті полягає у дослідженні передумов зародження та особливостей розвитку дизайну об’єктів готельно-ресторанного бізнесу. Методологія дослідження побудована на використанні історико-оглядового та практично-аналітичного підходів. Наукова новизна полягає у відстеженні змін в оформленні готельно-ресторанних закладів упродовж всієї історії; у виокремленні основних підходів у дизайні об’єктів готельно-ресторанного бізнесу; в огляді основних тенденцій у дизайні сучасних готельних мереж. Висновки. Проведене дослідження свідчить, що впродовж тривалого періоду становлення та розвитку об’єктів готельно-ресторанного бізнесу відбулися істотні зміни в їхньому дизайнерському вирішенні. Кожен з етапів розвитку готельно-ресторанних закладів характеризується трансформацією розуміння поняття «дизайн» та ступенем застосування його інструментарію як в оздобленні приміщень, так і в його використанні при формуванні концепції та фірмового стилю компанії. Саме системний підхід у дизайні об’єктів готельно-ресторанного бізнесу забезпечує формування конкурентних переваг та є однією із основних складових ефективної організації та ведення готельно-ресторанної діяльності.

The aim of the study is to show the unity of processes in the Ukrainian and European art in the end of the XIX – beginning of the XX centuries and to identify the connections between modern ideas and the formation of national identity. The methodology of the research. Methods of historical and art-study analysis have been used. Scientific novelty. The reasons for Ukrainians’ desire for national self-identification are revealed, the process of formation of the Ukrainian artistic elite in the context of the development of cultural autonomy is shown. Conclusions. As a result of the research, it has been discovered that the search for national identity in the realm of art, including the process of creating a national style, became a characteristic feature of the formation of self-identification among the representatives of artistic intellectual class. The formation and development of artistic life in Ukraine, as well as the formation of the national art elite through the creation of an art education system have been shown. Дослідження має за мету показати єдність процесів в українському і європейському мистецтві кін. ХІХ – поч. ХХ ст., виявити органічний зв’язок між модерними ідеями й формуванням національної самобутності. Методи дослідження. Використано методи історичного і мистецтвознавчого аналізу. Наукова новизна. Виявлено причини прагнення українців до національної самоідентифікації, показано процес формування української художньої еліти в контексті розвитку культурної автономії. Висновки. В результаті проведеного дослідження з’ясовано, що характерною рисою формування самоідентифікації в колах мистецької інтелігенції стали пошуки національної самобутності в царині мистецтва, зокрема процес творення національного стилю. Показано зародження й розвиток художнього життя в Україні, формування національної мистецької еліти шляхом створення системи художньої освіти.

The aim of the article is to find out the peculiarities of the embodiment of actual conceptual motives in the design of artistic ceramics. Concepts aimed at identifying the impact of scientific and technological progress and information technology on culture and art are studied on the example of the work of Ukrainian modern ceramist Yurii Musatov. Research methods. The following methods were used in the study: analysis, synthesis, comparison; systematic approach to the interpretation of artistic ideas, practical analysis of the design of modern art ceramics. The scientific novelty of the study is the interpretation of the design of Yurii Musatov’s products through the prism of new realities of the information society, its anthropological challenges, the problems of the existence of art in the system of world communication. Conclusions. The results of the study testify to the innovative nature of the work of ceramist Yurii Musatov. Among the creative works of Ukrainian ceramists he is distinguished by noble, intellectual and modern presentation of works, perfect mastery of technological and artistic means, complex constructive forms and conceptual content. Метою статті є з’ясування особливостей втілення актуальних концептуальних мотивів у дизайні художньої кераміки. На прикладі творчості українського сучасного кераміста Юрія Мусатова досліджуються концепти, спрямовані на виявлення впливу науково-технічного прогресу та інформаційних технологій на культуру й мистецтво. Методи дослідження. В дослідженні було використано такі методи: аналіз, синтез, порівняння; системний підхід до інтерпретації художніх ідей, практичний аналіз дизайну сучасної художньої кераміки. Науковою новизною дослідження є інтерпретація дизайну виробів Юрія Мусатова крізь призму нових реалій інформаційного суспільства, його антропологічні виклики, проблеми існування мистецтва в системі світової комунікації. Висновки. Результати дослідження засвідчують новаторський характер творчості художника-кераміста Юрія Мусатова. Серед творчих доробків українських керамістів його вирізняє шляхетна, інтелектуальна та сучасна подача робіт, досконале володіння технологічно-мистецькими засобами, складні конструктивні форми та концептуальний зміст.
