Ukrainian Worldwide Information Network announces competitive recruitment to the volunteer information corps. The competition is open to experienced practicing journalists, young journalists, student journalists, novice journalists (high school pupils), public correspondents, and activists of various professions who are attracted to information and reporting activities in Ukraine and the diaspora.

Over the two years of its existence, “Ukrainian Information Space” has been registered with the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine in the status of the scientific journal, affirmed and indexed in academic databases of 14 authoritative in the scientific world network platforms and catalogs. Among them are Index Copernicus, Academic Resource Index, PKP Index, Polska Bibliografia Naukowa. За два роки існування зареєстрований у міністерстві юстиції України в статусі наукового журналу «Український інформаційний простір» ствердився й індексується в науково-метричних базах даних авторитетних у науковому світі 14-ти мережевих платформ і каталогів. Серед них — Index Copernicus, Academic Resource Index, PKP Index, Polska Bibliografia Naukowa.

Journal "Ukraine" (Washington, USA) forms the Editorial Board and the Editorial Office of the journal on a competitive basis. Well-known Ukrainian journalists, writers, literary critics, art critics, artists, theater critics, film critics, cultural scientists, scientists, public and political figures, business personalities from Ukraine and diasporas are invited to participate in the competition for members of the Editorial Board (Collegium). Журнал «Україна» (Вашингтон, США) на конкурсній основі формує Редакційну Раду (Колегію) та Редакцію журналу. Under the slogan of the so-called education reformation, during round-table discussion “Introduction of education branch “Communicativistics” in Ukraine” the Chair of journalism and new media of Institute of Journalism of Borys Hrynchenko Kyiv University, the Chair of international mediacommunications and communicative technologies of International Relations Institute of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University and public organization “National Academy of Communicativistics” declared renaming of education branch 06 “Journalism” into 06 “Communicativistics”. "Ukrainian Information Space", which in the status of an international scientific journal, is published twice a year since 2018, and has dared to take on the mission of being almost the only chronicler of national journalism and information in Ukraine. With an indispensable study of the dramatic past lessons, honest and picky tracking of ambiguous trends of the disturbing present, and with a reliable look into the future. All this is described on the journal pages – with an attachment to the European, and more broadly, the global context of media development and book publishing in the era of state-of-the-art technologies for the creation, distribution, and the existance of a particular information product. Шановний читачу! «Український Інформаційний Простір», який у статусі міжнародного наукового журналу стало, двічі в рік, приходить до свого читача від 2018 року, осмілився взяти на себе місію чи не єдиного в Україні літописця поступу національної журналістики та інформації. З небайдужим вивченням уроків драматичного минулого, чесним і прискіпливим відстеженням неоднозначних тенденцій тривожного сучасного та з надійним загляданням у день завтрашній.

Наприкінці року, що минає, побачив світ в оновленому вигляді журнал «Українська культура».Подія непересічна. І для такого твердження є кілька аргументів.Перший. Цей часопис можна віднести до не чисельної когорти тих українських періодичних видань, які, наперекір різним суспільно-політичним і економічним обставинам, виявилися довгожителями. Наступного року йому виповнюється 100 років.Другий. Натепер це великоформатний повноколірний журнал із європейським рівнем верстання та поліграфічного відтворення, на сторінках якого висвітлюється широкий спектр проблем специфічної галузі, що формує, за словами Ліни Костенко, гуманітарну ауру нації.Третій. «Українська Культура» – не просто головний український культурологічний часопис, а й видавничий дім із такою ж назвою, під крівлею якого об’єдналася жменька редакцій, які можна вважати невпокорені часом і владами, що за всіх часів для таких видань була хронічно не прихильною.

I am honored to present the latest authors’ works of "Ukrainian Information Space" — the only scientific journal in Ukraine with clearly defined issues on the history, theory and practice of functioning of socially signifi­cant information in the socio-political realities of our country and in the world context. The editorial board and creators of the magazine focused on comprehensive coverage of theoretical, practical and historical aspects of the main components of Ukrainian information space: press, radio, television, online platforms and books. Маю честь представити свіжий доробок авторів «Українського інформаційного простору» — єдиного в Україні наукового журналу з чітко окресленою проблематикою з історії, теорії і практики функціонування соціально значущої інформації в суспільно-політичних реаліях нашої держави та у світовому контексті. Редколєгія і творці часопису взяли орієнтир на різнобічне висвітлення теоретичних, практичних та історичних аспектів головних складових українського інформаційного простору: преси, радіо, телебачення, мережевих платформ та книжкових видань.

The processes, taking place in our national information space, cannot but put us on guard. Most alarming they are in the sphere of TV-speaking. Now they look especially dangerous, when Ukraine is in military confrontation, combined with hybrid war with aggressive Northern neighbour.We have been experiencing a difficult period of attempts of reforms’ implementation, which have been declared by the authorities (unfortunately, the majority of them are pseudo plans), especially in information sphere. Both the results of future elections and the future of our state directly depend on these reforms. Процеси, які відбуваються в нашому національному інформаційному просторі, не можуть не насторожувати. Особливо тривожними вони є у сфері телевізійного мовлення. І особливо небезпечними вони є тепер, коли Україна знаходиться у мілітарному протистоянні, поєднаному з гібридною війною з агресивним північним сусідом.Переживаємо складний період спроб реалізації задекларованих владою реформ (на жаль, у більшості — псевдопланів), особливо в інформаційній сфері, від чого залежать не лише результати майбутніх виборів, але й завтрашній день нашої держави.

The beginning of the XXIth century showed new tendencies of dramatic changes of the world, shift of information accents, factual «blurring»of frontiers, intensification of people’s migration, ideas, production means and capital flows.The problem of Ukraine integration into global information space became the core of researches, critical professional discussions, searchings for and implantation of new directions, which would become foundation for further modifications of Ukrainian national information space.The article deals with the analysis of general present-day state tendencies and prospects of information space development on the example of national information space ofUkraine. Information space ofUkraineis not yet a determined space structure, which provides thoroughly a circulation of socially valid information on a country scale.The author also looked upon standards of legal provision of information space functioning in Ukraine. The ideas for enhancing the state policy concerning information space of Ukraine are suggested. У статті проаналізовано загальний стан, тенденції та перспективи розвитку інформаційного простору на прикладі національного інформаційного простору України. Розглянуто нормативно-правове забезпечення функціонування інформаційної сфери в Україні. Висвітлено завдання для покращення державноїполітики щодо інформаційного простору країни.

In May 2019, in Warsaw, the publishers’ forum hosted the presentation of two new, recently published books by Oleksandra Ziulkovska — «Pisarskiedelicje» and and «WokółWańkowicza». A few days later the presentation was repeated in the library on Victorska Street 10 — under the sign «What is the literature of fact for me». A crowded hall, meaningful questions and answers, and most importantly a special atmosphere of trust to the author and her words — can there be greater joy for a writer whose creativity trans­cends borders and unites peoples?! У травні 2019 у Варшаві на форумі видавців відбулася презентація двох нових, щойно виданих, книжок Олександри Зюлковської — «Pisarskie delicje» i «Wokół Wańkowicza». Через кілька днів презентація повторилася і в бібліотеці на вулиці Вікторській 10 — під знаком «Чим є для мене література факту». Переповнений зал, змістовні запитання і відповіді, а головне особлива атмосфера довіри до авторки та її слова — чи може бути більша радість для письменниці, творчість якої долає кордони і єднає народи?!
