Abstract

Fray Gaspar de Córdoba a Felipe III sobre los memoriales presentados por Daniel Conry, Daniel Riégano y Daniel Roche, irlandeses. Daniel Conry, irlandés, desterrado por la reina de Inglaterra, ha perdido a un hijo en defensa de la fe, además de casa y hacienda, debiendo mantener a su mujer e hijas, con las que llegó a España. Suplica ayuda de costa para servir en la Armada. Fray Florencio dice que este hombre ayudaba con su hacienda a los soldados y los ingleses se la tomaron. (4 de agosto de 1603. A fray Gaspar de Córdoba). El Padre Confesor propone de le den 300 reales. Daniel Riégano, soldado irlandés, ha servido tres años con el conde de Desmond y su hermado Juan Geraldino en la guerra católica de Irlanda, causa por la cual se vino desterrado a España, donde ha servido un año en la compañía de don Pedro Morizon. Suplica ayuda de costa para servir en la real armada. ( 3 de septiembre de 1603. A fray Gaspar de Córdoba). El Padre Confesor propone se le den 200 reales. Daniel Roche, hidalgo irlandés, ha llegado a España huyendo de la tiranía de los luteranos ingleses, que mataron a su padre y otros parientes. Suplica ayuda de costa para ir a servir en Flandes. Fray Florencio certifica que ha servido en Irlanda. (18 de septiembre de 1603. A fray Gaspar de Córdoba). El Padre Confesor propone se le den 300 reales. Respuesta del rey: "Lo que os parece en todo". Petición de fray Gaspar de Córdoba al Presidente de Hacienda para que sea despachada esta limosna con brevedad. Orden del Presidente de Hacienda al secretario para que haga los recaudos necesarios para que se paguen estas cantidades del dinero de las arcas de la tesorería general.
