Abstract

Minuta de cédula de Felipe III a don Francisco de Castro, embajador en Roma, en la que se representa que al Padre Joseph Cresuelo, inglés, de la Compañía de Jesús, le ha mandado el General de su orden mudar a España antes de la primavera y que en su lugar vaya otro padre de su nación. El rey estima que el padre Cresuelo ha servido todos los negocios que se le han encargado con entera satisfacción y que su persona es muy a propósito para encargarse del gobierno de los colegios de la Misión, por lo que encarga al embajador hable al General de la Compañía para averiguar la causa de querer mudarle de destino.
