El prior de San Lorenzo el Real sobre la solicitud de ingreso de Juan Gradi, irlandés

Abstract

Fray Juan de la Serena, prior de San Lorenzo el Real a Felipe IV sobre la carta que le ha llegado de fray Luis Gradi, de la orden de San Francisco, sobre que le avise lo que piden las constituciones de dicho convento para que su hermano, don Juan Gradi, entre en el seminario a oir Artes. Refiere remite respuesta en un memorial, no inserto. En el regesto se indica que el prior refiere que las constituciones dispones que se eligen cuatro seminaristas cada cuatro años, estando ya hecha la nominación próxima. Don Juan Gradi no ha sido seminario, pero el rey puede dispensar en esto, como se hizo con otro irlandés, con lo que ocuparía la primera vacante que quedase. El Consejo se conforma con el parecer del prior.
