Abstract

Consulta del Consejo de Estado a Felipe IV sobre la carta enviada por Thomas Briones, rector del Seminario Irlandés de Salamanca, en que refiere haber recibido orden del rey para que acoja en el seminario a don Eugenio Egano, y representa al miserable estado de dicho lugar por falta de sustento, pues faltan las limosnas y no se cobran los 300.000 maravedís consignados en la Casa de la Moneda de Toledo. En memorial aparte refiere que los 300 ducados anuales que han de librarse para que tres alumnos vayan a la Misión de Irlanda por consulta de 11 de diciembre de 1624 no se han librado aún en 1627, suplicando se realice esta libranza. El Consejo parece justo encargar al Presidente de Hacienda la paga de los 300.000 maravedís que el dicho rector refiere y lo corrido de ellos. Sobre los 300 ducados para los tres alumnos, que se remita al Patriarca, por cuya mano corre. Respuesta del rey: "Así lo he mandado"
