Abstract

Consulta del Consejo de Estado a Felipe IV sobre el memorial remitido por don Diego Otuni y Valle, sacerdote irlandés, que refiere que después de haber estudiado su latín en Flandes vino a España a proseguir sus estudios en las universidades. Ahora desea volver a Flandes, para ser empleado en alguno de los presidios u hospitales reales, atento a que sabe cinco o seis lenguas. Suplica la ayuda de costa de 150 ducados que se ha dado a los demás sacerdotes que fueron a Galicia y Cantabria con el conde de Biraven y don Joseph de Insaustigui, así como carta de recomendación para que el señor infante le dé alguna capellanía mayor de un tercio. Al Consejo parece que se le podría dar la limosna ordinaria y carta para el cardenal-infante. Respuesta del rey: "Como parece"
