Los licenciados don Antonio Okennedi, don Cornelio Obrien y fray Juan Butler piden cartas de presentación para la Majestad británica para que les permita vivir como católicos en Irlanda

Abstract

Decreto de Carlos II al Patriarca de las Indias para que le consulte en relación con el memorial inserto de los licenciados don Antonio Okennedi, don Cornelio Obrien y fray Juan Butler, los dos primeros clérigos y presbíteros colegiales del Colegio de San Jorge de Alcalá y el último, religioso agustino. Todos ellos son irlandeses y, habiendo concluido sus estudios, desean pasar a Irlanda a predicar el Evangelio y que el rey de Inglaterra les permita vivir en sus dominios con las condiciones y pactos con que mantiene a los demás eclesiásticos católicos que allí están. Suplican a Carlos II les presente ante el rey inglés con unas cartas y (documento incompleto).
