Abstract

Decreto de Carlos II al Patriarca de las Indias para que le consulte lo que le pareciere en relación con el memorial inserto que presenta el Padre Andrés Ignacio García, de la Compañía de Jesús, rector del seminario de Irlandeses de Salamanca que fundó Felipe II, sobre siete religiosos irlandeses de su orden que estudian allí y están aptos para pasar a Irlanda, Inglaterra y Escocia. Son don Patrizio Caoy, don Patrizio Allen, don Patrizio Bermenhgan, Malachias Tumulty, Edmundo Galachor, Miguel Dounes y Miguel Linze, para los cuales suplicaba ayuda de costa. Por certificaciones del Padre Francisco Javier, Provincial de Castilla la Vieja de dicha orden, consta que los siete sujetos referidos son irlandeses y han acabado sus estudios, siendo aptos para la Misión (certificaciones de 22 de abril de 1698 y 7 de marzo de 1699).
