Abstract

Consulta del arzobispo de Trebisonda a Felipe V en relación con el memorial presentado por el Comisario general de Irlanda, de la orden de San Francisco, en el que expresaba la gran falta de ministros evangélicos que hay en Irlanda y cómo hace seis años que no se envían. Él tiene preparados para pasar a Irlanda, pero faltos de medios para hacerlo, catorce religiosos en diferentes conventos de España: fray Terencio Ochart (Convento de Bilbao), fray Jacobo Cahil (Valladolid), fray Francisco de San Patrizio (Carrión), fray Alejandro Roch (Ávila), fray Miguel Odonel (La Coruña), fray Juan Ogara (San Sebastián), fray Miguel Macharti (Bufalance), fray Thomas Phelan (Rioseco), fray Juan Bodquin (Baeza), fray Bernardo Caveo (Málaga), fray Antonio Macdonel (Pamplona), fray Miguel Suyni (Orijar), fray Diego Parel (Vivero), fray Juan Oqueli (Ribadeo). El Patriarca es favorable a que se mande librar por la Presidencia de Hacienda cien ducados a cada uno como se estila. Igualmente, el Patriarca consulta sobre otro memorial, presentado por don Maurizio Obrenan, presbítero irlandés, y colegial en el Colegio Irlandés de Alcalá, solicitando cien ducados para pasar a la Misión de Irlanda, tras haber acabado los siete años de estudios en dicho colegio. También se opina a favor de su solictud. Respuesta favorable del rey para ambas solicitudes.
