Abstract

Certificación del padre fray Tomás de Bustamante, prior del Real Convento de Nuestra Señora de Atocha de Madrid a favor del padre Andrés Escoto, religioso de la Orden de Predicadores, que, habiendo tomado el hábito en el convento de Nuestra Sra. De la Peña de Francia fue a estudiar a dicho convento. Certificación del padre Hugo Semple, de la Compañía de Jesús y administrador del Colegio Escocés de Madrid, a favor del padre fray Federico Escoto y fray Guillermo Bello, escoceses, alumnos de dicho Colegio, muy aptos para la misión de Escocia. Información de fray Juan de Santo Domingo, dominico del convento de Santo Tomás de Madrid, a don Diego de Herrera, teniente de limosnero, a favor de ciertas personas (que no se nombran) muy a propósito para la Misión. Presenta quejas por la existencia de dos colegios sin colegiales de donde pueda salir provisión necesaria de predicadores para propagar la fe y pide remedio para ello, además de señalar que los colegiales no salen bien formados.
