Abstract

Los datos corresponden a un estudio experimental sobre el efecto de la alimentacion artificial durante el invierno sobre el desempeño reproductivo en el carbonero comun. La evidencia actual es equívoca con efectos positivos y negativos en el tamaño y fecha de puesta, en poblaciones distintas de una misma especie. En nuestro studio analizamos la fecha y tamaño de puesta en una poblacion salvaje de carbonero comun en el sur de Suecia a lo largo de siete años, y manipulamos la disponibilidad de alimento invernal en la mitad de la población a lo largo de los ultimos cuatro. Vemos que los individuos expuestos a sobre-alimentacion invernal aumentaron el tamaño de puesta aunque no experimentanon ningun cambio en la fecha de puesta. Nuestros resutados muestran que existe una importante variacion interannual y en nuestra poblacion de estudio un efecto de "carry over" entre el invierno y la época de cría.
