This data supports the paper "The MJO-QBO Relationship in a GCM with Stratospheric Nudging" accepted in J. Climate by Zane Martin, Clara Orbe, Shuguang Wang, and Adam Sobel (2021; doi:10.1175/JCLI-D-20-0636.1) Please refer to the README file for a description of the data structure. In general, data contributing to the paper is organized into three main folders based on the GCM model experiment (control run, coupled ensemble, and sensitivity test) and from there by daily and monthly data, or processed index files. The README contains additional information about the contents of each file, which is compressed using ZIP. Other data referenced in the paper (e.g. reanalysis) is publicly available. Additional output data from the model runs not present in this dataset or analyzed in the above study are available by request from the first author

| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 1 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
