PV Installed capacity and generation in Japan

Abstract

The dataset contains the consolidated data regarding solar PV in Japan from 1994 until 2019. The raw data serves as the backup of the original sources, and the processed data is readily usable for analysis. Only publicly available datasets were used to gather the Installed PV capacity and actual generation in Japan. This data collection process took place between October 2020 and January 2021. When using the data, we kindly ask you to cite the following paper: Knuepfer, K., Dumlao, S.M.G., Esteban, M., Shibayama, T., Ishihara, K.N. (2021) Analysis of PV subsidy schemes, installed capacity, and actual generation in Japan. Energies 2021, 14, 2128. doi: 10.3390/en14082128. Details about data sources and consolidation methods and other information regarding the development of solar PV in Japan can be found in the paper mentioned above.
