This data set contains two files. One file contains thermal emission spectra of 10 rock samples. Data were collected at Arizona State University in the early 2000's. Most samples were purchased from Ward's. The other file contains the same spectra, degraded to the spectral bandpasses of the Mars Odyssey Thermal Emission Imaging System (THEMIS). All lab spectra were measured from rock hand samples (not particulate samples). These data were shown in: Rogers, A. D. and H. Nekvasil (2015), Feldspathic rocks on Mars: Compositional constraints from infrared spectroscopy and possible formation mechanisms, Geophys. Res. Lett., 42, 2619-2626, doi: 10.1002/2015GL063501. Most rocks are from the Ward's North American Rocks collection. https://www.wardsci.com/store/product/8869973/classic-north-american-rock-collection. The xaxis for the spectra at lab resolution is in units of wavenumber (cm^-1). The xaxis for the spectra at THEMIS resolution is in units of wavelength (microns).
| selected citations These citations are derived from selected sources. This is an alternative to the "Influence" indicator, which also reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | 0 | |
| popularity This indicator reflects the "current" impact/attention (the "hype") of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network. | Average | |
| influence This indicator reflects the overall/total impact of an article in the research community at large, based on the underlying citation network (diachronically). | Average | |
| impulse This indicator reflects the initial momentum of an article directly after its publication, based on the underlying citation network. | Average |
