This folder contains 18 datasets of surface thermographies from laboratory wind-wave experiments and numerical simulations of turbulent shear flows at various wind conditions for the analyses of streamwise thermal streaks. There are 8 datasets from the laboratory experiments conducted in the wind-wave facility Aeolotron at Heidelberg University, and 10 cases of numerical shear flows bounded by a flat surface and a wavy boundary. Each dataset contains about 20 images, and is stored in a HDF5 file. More details are described in the readme file. Two infrared movies on non-breaking and breaking wind waves are also included for examining the evolution of thermal footprints by surface waves.
