Equation of state tables for Studying the QCD Matter produced in Heavy-Ion Collisions using the MUSES Calculation Engine

Abstract

This collection of datafiles contains the different tabulated nuclear equations of state produced through the MUSES Calculation Engine, discussed and used in heavy-ion collisions simulations presented in Studying the QCD Matter produced in Heavy-Ion Collisions using the MUSES Calculation Engine (details about EoS calculation given in the paper) [1].The MUSES Calculation Engine is a web-based application and workflow management system allowing researchers to run scientific calculations as composable workflows, constructed from a growing library of MUSES modules that calculate equations of state, derive physical observables, and transform data. MUSES is an NSF-funded project to answer critical interdisciplinary questions in nuclear physics, gravitational wave astrophysics, and heavy-ion physics. The different equation of state tables stored here, together with metadata files describing their content, are: 4D-TExS from lattice QCD, covering $T \in [0;600]$ MeV with $dT = 2$ MeV and $\mu_{B/Q/S} \in [-800;800]$ MeV with $d\mu_{B/Q/S} = 50$ MeV (see MUSES 4D-TExS module for the code to compute it; when using this table, please cite [2-4]) 4D Taylor-expanded lattice QCD, covering $T \in [30;600]$ MeV with $dT = 5$ MeV and $\mu_{B/Q/S} \in [-450;450]$ MeV with $d\mu_{B/Q/S} = 50$ MeV (see MUSES 4D-Taylor module for the code to compute it; when using this table, please cite [5,6]) QvdW-HRG + EMD Holography (with critical point at ${\mu_B}_c = 200$ MeV), covering $T \in [0;600]$ MeV with $dT = 1$ MeV and $\mu_{B} \in [0;1000]$ MeV with $d\mu_{B} = 1$ MeV QvdW-HRG + EMD Holography (with critical point at ${\mu_B}_c = 598$ MeV), covering $T \in [0;600]$ MeV with $dT = 1$ MeV and $\mu_{B} \in [0;1000]$ MeV with $d\mu_{B} = 1$ MeV QvdW-HRG + EMD Holography (with critical point at ${\mu_B}_c = 1000$ MeV), covering $T \in [0;600]$ MeV with $dT = 1$ MeV and $\mu_{B} \in [0;1000]$ MeV with $d\mu_{B} = 1$ MeV(see MUSES Holographic module and HRG module for the codes used to compute the tables; when using any of these 3 tables, please cite [7-10]) For further details, see the full MUSES documentation and the MUSES project website.
