Abstract

This dataset contains core images and links to core images and core logging datasets for different core and sample types according to the provided file Summary Table.pdf. Use the summary table to find the correct zip file by cross-referencing the core type with the image type you are trying to find. For example, to find the CT image of the pressure core H003-08CS from PCATS, cross-reference the column labeled "Pressure core (FB and CS)" with the row labeled "PCATS CT Slabs" to find the name of the zip file you want in the corresponding table cell, "CT-slabs_tif_PCTB_uncut_cores.zip". The attached readme file, previewed below under Files, describes all the data files in this dataset and their contents. The readme file also contains links to where the data is presented in the expedition proceedings. Additional data you might expect to find in this dataset can instead be found at the following locations: Core and section-piece depths can be found in the curation dataset (http://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.14926309). Download the file UT-GOM2-2 CORE LOG depths – sortable.xlsx, see tabs “Core log” and “Section-piece log”. The attached summary of logging and imaging file summarizes the sensor data and images obtained for each core and section type. See Expedition UT-GOM2-2 Methods: Pressure Core Logging and Imaging, Conventionalized Pressure Core Logging and Imaging, Conventional Whole Core Logging and Imaging, Split Core Logging and Imaging, and Summary of all Core Logging and Imaging (Flemings et al., 2025a, https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.13971228).
