AI-Run Modern LaTeX Manuscript Workflow and Replication Packet

Abstract

Compact workflow and replication record for the Modern LaTeX Editions of Mathematics Manuscripts project. It documents the AI-run scan-to-TeX-to-translation-to-audit-to-publication workflow, including local source acquisition, OCR/math-OCR witness generation, source-image slicing, high-DPI object crops, TeX compilation, web review handoffs, GitHub mirroring, and Zenodo publication.Latest update. Adds workflow-addendum-20260612-object-level-audit.md, a small public addendum distilled from local diagram/table repair audits. The addendum records that diagram and table promotion should be object-level rather than page-level: a promoted object needs a source object witness, output render witness, stable object ID, and explicit ledger verdict. Full-page screenshots and contact sheets are orientation aids, not authority, and screenshots or crops must not silently replace reconstructed TeX.Workflow status. The record is a reusable workflow packet, not a claim that any particular mathematical edition is critically complete. OCR, VLM, detector, crop, and candidate-TeX outputs are witness and locator layers unless a source-specific audit promotes them. Source scans and source-object witnesses remain authority for transcription claims.Corrections and contributions. Workflow corrections, tool notes, reproducibility improvements, and issue reports can be suggested through the GitHub mirror via issues or pull requests: https://github.com/KokunoYumeto/modern-latex-manuscripts.
