
This work presents a conceptual analogy designed to make the relationship between space, gravity, and cosmic expansion more intuitive. In this model, space is represented as a fisherman’s net that has just been cast outward. The net itself symbolizes the structure of space, while the knots correspond to coordinate points in spacetime. Local dents represent gravity, while the global stretching of the net represents cosmic expansion. The analogy highlights the distinction between local curvature and global dynamics, offering an intuitive visualization of why gravity cannot halt the expansion of the universe.
