This dataset includes all violations of non-combatant airspace during the Russo-Ukrainian war for the period from 24 February 2022 to 17 May 2026 for which information could be found. Included are all cases of factual incursions (airspace violations) irrespective of the cause, i.e. whether targeted, by accident or because of enemy jamming. However, the dataset is limited to confirmed cases of flying objects designed for warcraft originating from either Russia or Ukraine and violating the airspace of neighbouring countries. For each instant of airspace violation included in the dataset the following information is provided in the excel file (sheet 2): country concerned, type of object, amount of object(s), country of origin of object(s), date, direct (physical) impact, political reaction, report, source This dataset has been compiled through a keyword search in the factiva database, a large, international database of news reporting. The resulting list was crosschecked with official sources (government agencies of the countries concerned) in cases of doubt about the nature of the incident and was also crosschecked for completeness with the available lists on Wikipedia. This dataset consists of the actual data collection in an excel file and a more detailed documentation of data collection than this technical description as pdf-file.
