CDI-1200t Secondary Clay Formation Research

Abstract

These data are part of a project to assess feedstock weathering and secondary mineral formation in amended fields and greenhouse experiments. The fields are at several agricultural settings in central and southern Germany. The greenhouse experiments are part of those conducted by the CDI. In all cases the feedstock is the same: Eifelgold basanite. The field samples consist of a control (and sometimes a pre-amendment sample), and an averaged sample of the amended field after ~3 years. The greenhouse experiments also consist of a control and amended sample for the same soils.
