This dataset contains estimates of cross-border travel derived from global tourism, air passenger and migration statistics (1995-2022), covering population movements between 230+ countries. The Global Transnational Mobility Dataset (GTMD 2.0) expands on an earlier version (GTMD 1.0), which covered the 2011-2016 period. GTMD 2.0 records over 150 billion cross-border trips from 1995 to 2022. This version improves upon the previous one by offering more accurate estimates and comprehensive coverage of mobility flows worldwide. For further information, please refer to the Global Mobilities Project (GMP) website at the Migration Policy Centre (MPC) of the European University Institute (EUI).
