The m6A demethylase FTO targets NF-κB signaling to inhibit vascular calcification in chronic kidney disease

Abstract

Vascular smooth muscle cells were isolated from mice and divided into control and Fto-knockdown groups and treated with small interfering RNA for 7 days. Total RNA was then extracted from both groups, and m6A RNA methylation sequencing (MeRIP-seq) was performed to investigate which genes were altered following Fto knockdown.
