Registros asociados a distribución y abundancia de las aves marinas y playeras en la zona marino-costera del Parque Nacional Natural Uramba Bahía Málaga

Abstract

En este estudio se evaluó la distribución y abundancia de aves marinas y playeras en el PNN Uramba Bahía Málaga. Se registraron 27 especies, 417 registros pertenecientes a 11 familias. Las especies que presentaron mayor cantidad de registros fueron el Garza real (Ardea alba) y el pelicano pardo (Pelecanus occidentalis). La mayor concentración de aves se detectó en los planos lodosos intermareales ubicados en la parte media e interna de la bahía de Málaga, donde se registró aproximadamente el 58.9% de los individuos. Los principales grupos de aves acuáticas fueron los chorlos y playeros. En el 57% de los puntos se registraron actividades antrópicas siendo las más comunes la pesca y recolección artesanal de moluscos. Se resalta el valor ecosistémico de los planos intermareales y las áreas de manglar adyacentes como hábitats claves para aves marinas y playeras.
