
Elektron is a periodical free open acces journal of the Electronic Department of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Buenos Aires. The aim of the journal is to create a space for dissemination and discussion on the scientific and technological aspects of electronic engineering. The publication is aimed at the general public interested in the development, applications, and implications of new electronic technologies and provides a space to encourage interaction between members of the community. Elektron publishes in-depth peer-reviewed content in spanish, portuguese or english on different topics related to electronic engineering such as telecommunications, automation and control, computer science, signal processing, optoelectronics, microelectronics, acoustics, audio and bioengineering. Publication is biannual (2 issues per year) and the evaluation and publication of each article takes around one month. The collection includes publication of special numbers dedicated to congresses of certain specialities of engineering. For all contributions the acceptance criteria are quality, originality, and scientific and technological relevance to the field. An adequate referencing to the state-of-the-art is essential.
