A problemática da higiene, segurança e saúde no trabalho em contexto hospitalar

Abstract

A Higiene, Segurança e Saúde no Trabalho é uma área onde se tem verificado um grande desenvolvimento e crescimento, sobretudo durante as duas últimas décadas, e que assume, cada vez mais, relevância e preponderância nos mais diversos ramos de atividade humana. Os profissionais de saúde estão expostos a uma diversidade de riscos ocupacionais que podem culminar com à ocorrência de variados tipos de acidente ou, no pior cenário, com o desenvolvimento de doenças profissionais. O presente trabalho pretende observar e analisar a posição institucional de um conjunto de Hospitais em matéria do cumprimento dos requisitos legais no âmbito da Higiene, Segurança e Saúde no Trabalho, através da utilização de um questionário. O tratamento exploratório da informação recolhida foi efetuado com o recurso a ferramenta SPSS. Constatou-se que os Hospitais cumprem com a maioria dos requisitos legais. No entanto, existem determinadas áreas que necessitam de uma intervenção imediata e estruturada, nomeadamente no que concerne ao tema das Radiações no âmbito hospitalar e a nível da Segurança Contra Incêndios.
