The Aviation Emissions Inventory Code (AEIC) is used to estimate aviation emissions from all phases of flight, with the associated uncertainties quantified. It relies on EUROCONTROL's Base of Aircraft Data (BADA) version 3.9, the ICAO engine emissions databank (EDB), and Official Aviation Guide (OAG) schedule information to generate gridded emissions estimates that are used to assess aviation's environmental impacts. AEIC Version 2.1 introduces an updated for calculating black carbon emissions from aircraft.
