HeFDI Data Infosnack: Jupyter

Authors: Budras, Tim;

HeFDI Data Infosnack: Jupyter

Abstract

Jupyter represents interactive computing, data processing and programming for beginners and experts. Jupyter is a versatile tool and provides a low threshold entry to the world of coding. This presentation in the .ipynb (Interactive Python Notebook) format gives a short overview about Jupyter and utilizes Python code in its examples. One example uses public temperature data by the German Weather Service (DWD). To find more information on Jupyter at the Philipps University of Marburg, feel free to check out the corresponding service website: https://www.uni-marburg.de/de/hrz/dienste/interactive-computing Last but not least: If you are interested in a previous presentation about Jupyter, you can find it under https://youtu.be/552xN7hA8Lw. Feel free to also check out our other event recordings there!

The HeFDI Data Infosnacks are our contribution to the International Love Data Week. With these short, 15-20 minute online information sessions we provide you with information about our offers and services around research data and code management. If you have suggestions or feedback regarding topics, please feel free to contact the HeFDI office (hefdi@uni-marburg.de). If you would like to receive regular updates on our offerings and events, sign up for our newsletter.

The HeFDI Data Infosnacks are an offer of the HeFDI Initiative (Landesinitiative HeFDI), which is funded by the Hessian Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and the Arts (HMWK).
