Abstract
26 February 2018 This is the official release of the LPJ-LMfire Dynamic Global Vegetation Model, version 1.3. This is the version of the model that was used to generate the results in the following publication: Chaste, E., Girardin, M. P., Kaplan, J. O., Portier, J., Bergeron, Y., and Hély, C.: The pyrogeography of eastern boreal Canada from 1901 to 2012 simulated with the LPJ-LMfire model, Biogeosciences, 2018. Primary modifications from LPJ-LMfire 1.0 (Pfeiffer et al., 2013) include various bugfixes such as dealing with uninitialized variables, modification of the driver programs to work with input data on an projected (or curvilinear) grid, and a revision of the pftparameters subroutine to accept an external file with PFT parameters, and definition of special PFTs for Eastern Canada – these are described in the paper cited above.
