
The Mega Port of Chancay is poised to revolutionize Perus international trade. This study explores the economic challenges and opportunities presented by this major infrastructure project, analyzing its potential impact on the national economy and trade relations with the Asia Pacific region. We used a combination of document analysis and comparisons with other successful ports. The findings suggest that the port could enhance Peru's logistical competitiveness and attract more foreign investment, though it faces legal and environmental challenges. We conclude that this port has the potential to position Peru as a strategic logistical hub in the Pacific. The uniqueness of this article lies in its comprehensive approach and the adaptation of successful international practices to the Peruvian context.
