He himself led his armies and himself made appointment to high offices of the kingdom. Though a despot, he never ruled as such. His administration was based on the principle of people's welfare. He was liberal and was always prepared to work for the welfare of his people. He was enlightened and indefatigable. He had opened dispensaries, rest-house etc., for his people. He forgot sleep and food his devotion to good work.
