Abstract

Eremiaphila gene Lefèbvre, 1835 Eremiaphila gene Lefèbvre, 1835: 486. Eremiaphila zetterstedt (not Lefèbvre). (cited in Burmeister, 1838: 525). Eremiaphila burmeisteri Saussure, 1871: 252. Eremiaphila hauensteini Werner, 1905: 386. Eremiaphila genei var. laevipennis Werner, 1905: 387. Distribution. Afghanistan, Arabian Peninsula, Armenia, Egypt, Iran, Jordon, Palestine, Syria, and Turkey. Remarks. This species was reported from Egypt by Werner (1905, 1907) and Innes (1912) and a now-lost specimen in Coll. Ain was collected from Borg el Arab in 1955 (Ibrahim 1979). Material examined. Egyptian collection (1): Gabal Asfar, 15.I.1956, very poor specimen (F) (ASUC).
