Abstract

Ayya Vaikundar says “whenever there is a lack of Dharma and Dharma prevails in peril in the world, I will appear to destroy Adharma and establish Dharma. ‘Ayya Siva Siva Aragara Aragara’ is the devotional chant chanted by the Ayyavazhi devotees. Swamithoppu Pathi, Ambalappathi, Muttappathi, Thamaraikulam Pathi and Bhoopathi are the five most famous Ayyappa Padis that propagate the realms of Ayyavazhi. In Ayyavazhi, “Akilathirattu Ammanai” is the primary scripture and the “Arul Nool” is the secondary scripture. At the north gate of Swamithoppu Pathi, Ayya Vaikundar had been in meditation for six years to the benefit of the people and for the destruction of evil ‘Kaliyan’. The purpose of this research paper is to examine the purpose of the incarnation of the Mayan Ayya Vaikundar who came to destroy Kaliyuga and about his Ayyavazhi devotees.

Keywords

Ayya Vaikundar, Ayyavazhi, Ayyavazhi Society, Swamithoppu Pathi.
