Resumen El e-commerce es una realidad presente hace décadas, con un aumento significativo a partir de la expansión del acceso a internet y la mayor capacidad de procesamiento de los prestadores de servicio. La COVID-19 ha mostrado el potencial de esta forma de comercialización, pero también los retos logísticos y de operaciones para su funcionamiento en la pandemia. El objetivo de este artículo es identificar las premisas que el sector empresarial cubano debe tener en cuenta para la implantación sostenible del e-commerce. Con este fin, se realizó un análisis del impacto que ha tenido la COVID-19 en las cadenas de suministros globales, y a su vez cómo el e-commerce y la e-logística impactan en el cliente final. Otro método utilizado fue el juicio de experto, apoyado en bibliografía actualizada sobre estos temas. Los resultados fueron los principales retos y premisas que se deben seguir para ejecutar de forma adecuada el e-commerce. Abstract E-commerce has been a reality for decades, with a significant growth from the increase in consumer connectivity with the expansion of Internet access globally and greater processing capacity of service providers. COVID-19 pandemic has shown the potential of this form of commercialization, but also, the logistical and operational challenges for its functionality during the pandemic. The objective pursued in this article is to identify the premises that the Cuban Business Sector must follow for sustainable e-commerce implantation. To this end, an analysis was carried out of the impact that COVID-19 has had on global supply chains, and at the same time, how e-commerce and e-logistics impact on the final client. Another method used was expert judgment, supported by updated literature on these topics. The results were the main challenges and premises that must be followed in order to adequately execute e-commerce.
