Abstract

Hinda buqueti (Mulsant, 1850) Cleothera buqueti Mulsant, 1850:542. Hyperaspis buquetii: Crotch, 1874:213. Hynda buqueti: Weise, 1895:127. Hinda buqueti: Korschefsky, 1931:177; Blackwelder, 1945:446; Gordon, 1987:26; Almeida & Milléo, 2000:71–73. Distribution: Brazil. Type material: One specimen of Hinda buqueti, located in the BMNH, has the following labels: [Type], [57 – 71], [Buqueti – Dej. – Brésil], [named by Musant]. Another type specimen of H. buqueti in the ZMHB was also examined, bearing the following labels: white: [Buqueti Muls. Det. Collect. Schaum.], red: [Syntypus Cleothera buqueti Mulsant, 1850 – labeled by ZMHB 2003]. The latter specimen is here designated a paralectotype, the BMNH specimen as the lectotype. Other material examined: (4). Brazil: (1) Hecht (ZMHB); (1) “ Brasilien ”; (2) Santa Catarina, Rio Vermelho (USNM).
