Based on the individual mounting categories A-E regarding prEN 50583, this research was expanded and subsequently completed with European and national standards. This research covers the general European legal situation of the building code and some national building codes in detail. In addition to France, Greece, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and Austria, the German standard situation and its legal process will be mainly discussed. The separate listing of every nation is necessary because there are several differences of standards and the usage of construction products. There was a collaboration with “bfirst” and “smartflex”, both of which are also research projects within the 7th European Research Framework program.
