Synthèse sur les publics du ATOM Festival 2019

Abstract

Cette synthèse présente les grands axes et résultats de l’enquête menée en 2019 dans le cadre du Master Culture et Communication parcours Arts et Techniques des Publics de Avignon Université sur les festivaliers de la deuxième édition du ATOM Festival. Cette étude des publics sous le regard des sciences sociales a été nourrie par la passation, le traitement et l’analyse de 132 questionnaires. C’est au milieu de l’été et sur trois jours que depuis deux ans, ATOM Festival prend vie au cœur des vallées de l’Aude, sur la commune de Payra-sur-l’Hers située à quelques kilomètres de Castelnaudary. Pensé comme un laboratoire multi-sensoriel, le festival se définit comme une déambulation joviale dans les sphères artistiques. Entre concerts électroniques ou instrumentaux, échappées théâtrales, installations artistiques, rencontres hybrides et artisanat, l’événement assure à ses participants une immersion dans une ode à la curiosité culturelle. En septembre 2018, deux organisateurs intègrent le Master Culture et Communication de l’Université d’Avignon. Cette formation développe leur envie d’étudier les publics de l’événement et donnera naissance à un mémoire de première année sur « L’expérience festivalière », avec une étude de cas sur ATOM et le Festival YEAH. Ce travail sociologique se poursuit en 2019 et 2020 avec l’élaboration d’une nouvelle enquête.
