The Role of Hybrid Open Access in Extending Author Choice

Abstract

This report presents the findings of a qualitative study consisting of interviews with 33 authors of Gold open access (OA) articles. The study was carried out to better understand authors’ motivations and influencing factors when selecting the Hybrid OA publishing option.
