Osmanlı Âlimlerinin Ebû Hanîfe'nin Akāid Risâlelerini Konu Edinen Eserleri [The Works of Ottoman Scholars on Abū Hanifa's Articles of Faith]

Abstract

The works written in Ottoman Turkey on AbūḤanīfa’s Articles of Faith are the subject of this article. In this context, sharḥ/commentaryand khāshiya/explanatorysort of works written by Ottoman Scholars onTheFiḳh Akbar I, The FıḳhAkbar II, al-ʿÂlimwa-l-Mutaʿallim, al-Waṣiyya and al-Risāla were defined and classified. And also, mistakes which can be found in bibliographic sources were corrected. Thus, introducing which works of AbūḤanīfa and other studies on his works were popular/common in Ottoman society, it was intended to establish a solid ground for further studies. Because, in order to identify how AbūḤanīfa’s opinions were understood and interpreted in time, the works that were carried on his studies need to be defined first. This study also aims at contributing to the researches on religious understanding of Ottoman society by providing literature information.
