Abstract

This workshop provides a practical overview of scientific publishing, focusing on journal selection, indexing systems (Scopus and Web of Science), and strategies to enhance research visibility and impact. The material is designed to support researchers in identifying reputable journals, avoiding predatory publishing, and understanding key metrics such as CiteScore, Impact Factor, and h-index. The workshop also highlights best practices in open science, ethical publishing, and the use of persistent identifiers (DOI, ORCID, ROR) to improve discoverability and academic recognition.
