This report examines media protection documentation coverage among VOSB-designated contractors operating under active DoD awards, drawing on supply chain assessment observations from a prior cycle. Records in the media protection domain were found to reflect handling environments that predated organizational changes, including cloud migrations, distributed work configurations, and personnel shifts that expanded the scope of handled federal contract information. The coverage gap persisted in records where adjacent domains were current, indicating a domain-specific rather than record-wide maintenance failure. The correspondence between documented media scope and actual handling scope at the point of review is the observable distinction between maintained and unmaintained records in this domain.
