Despite rapid advancements in computing architectures, the Intel 8085 microprocessor continues to play a vital role in foundational engineering education. Understanding basic arithmetic operations, such as 8-bit addition, helps students bridge the gap between theoretical digital logic and practical microprocessor programming. This research paper presents a detailed study of an 8085-microprocessor program to add two 8-bit numbers using immediate data and memory storage through the LDA/STA concept. The paper aligns classical microprocessor programming with the needs of the new educational era, emphasizing skill-based learning, outcome-based education (OBE), and industry-oriented fundamentals.
