Mazkur maqolada Farg‘ona vodiysi marosim madaniyatining nazariy-metodologik asoslari tahlil qilinadi. Tadqiqotda marosim madaniyati ijtimoiy va madaniy hodisa sifatida yoritilib, uning arxeologiya va etnologiya fanlarida talqin qilinishi qiyosiy jihatdan ko‘rib chiqiladi. Arxeologik manbalar orqali marosimlarning tarixiy ildizlari, etnologik kuzatuvlar orqali esa ularning zamonaviy jamiyatdagi funksiyalari aniqlanadi. Shuningdek, marosimlarning hududiy xususiyatlari, ijtimoiy vazifalari va globallashuv sharoitidagi transformatsiyasi muhokama qilinadi.
